Q. How far along should I be in my pregnancy to get the 3D/4D ultrasound? |
| |
A. For optimal pictures, we like to do the 3D/4D ultrasound between 28-34 weeks. Before that time, the baby has very little baby fat which is what gives them their cute baby faces.

Q. Is the 3D/4D ultrasound safe? |
| |
A. 30 years of extensive studies have found that ultrasound has not been shown to cause any harm to mother or baby. The same type and intensity of ultrasound used for the 3D/4D ultrasound is the same as what is used for traditional 2D diagnostic ultrasounds.

Q. Do I need a doctors prescription? |
| |
A. For the 3D/4D ultrasound you do not need a prescription as this is not a diagnostic ultrasound done for medical indications. It is required that you have obtained a diagnostic ultrasound during this pregnancy.
